I love working from my home office, and I look forward to sitting down at my desk every day! Over the past year, since moving into our new apartment, I’ve created a space that I truly enjoy spending time in and feel inspired doing so! It definitely didn’t happen overnight, but little by little, I’ve been adding pieces into the space that bring me joy. And it’s finally come together into a space that I love spending 10+ hours in on those long work days! It’s also the first room in our apartment that actually feels “done”, which is an exciting milestone in itself! So with all that said, I am so excited to finally share my home office with you!
I am so lucky that an entire wall of my office is windows – I never realized what a difference all the natural light made until I started spending more time in my office. I love that I get to look out at the mountains and enjoy the blue sky! It’s great to feel like you’re enjoying the nice weather even while you’re inside working all day!
One of my favourite parts of my office is the desk that my dad and I built together. ???? It’s so special to me and it turned out exactly the way I wanted! It fits the space perfectly and I have so much room, whether it’s working on my laptop, sketching project ideas, or doing crafts! I also love that it’s slowly getting more character with little bumps and scratches. For example, there are now little scratch marks on the edge from when Charlie comes running into the room and puts his paws there to come and say hello – haha or beg for food! The desk is just perfect for my office, and was an amazing piece to decorate the room around!
All the smaller decorative items have come together over time, and from many different places! I’ve linked a few of them down below, but if there’s something that you see that you love, ask me in the comments and I’ll let you know where I got it! Another favourite of mine are the copper wire triangles that I have above my desk. They’re perfect to hang notes, quotes, and pictures. And if you can believe it, they’re actually supposed to be scarf holders!
I really couldn’t be happier with how it’s all come together! From the desk and daybed to the last little details. All the pink, copper, and sparkly bits are my personality to a tee, and I love that! It’s the perfect space to fuel my creativity and get to work on projects that I love!
